Winter Cold and Flu Remedy-Soup

milus, immune, organic

Why is it some people get sick, and some people do not? Some people's immune systems are stronger than others because they are genetically lucky. Others are weak because they are under physical and or emotional stress. Some eat poorly. For example, did you know that eating processed sugar decreases your immune system's effectiveness for up to 72 hours?

Let's face it, though, whatever your genetic predisposition, or stress level, or nutritional habits, you may as well do as much as you can to feel your best. Over the years, I have used a broth whenever I feel under the weather. My patients love it, and I thought you might like to try it!

Make it on Sunday afternoon, and try it. Use the left over to fill your thermos in the morning to boost the immune system, and keep you warm! The cayenne will keep the sinuses clear, and the tasty broth is a mixture of vegetables known in natural health care circles to stimulate the immune system!

Hope you like it!

4 cups purified water

2 cloves organic garlic/chopped

1/2 organic zucchini/cubed

3 medium organic mushrooms/cubed

1 cube organic vegetarian vegetable bouillon

12-15 fresh organic green beans/cut in half

Cayenne pepper to taste- make it zing!

Combine ingredients, bring to a boil and remove from heat. Drink through out the day when you have the flu or a cold. This entire recipe should be taken each day you are ill. This will stimulate your immune system and clear your sinuses as well and open your throat.
