Apartment Gourmet On the Cheap - Episode 2 - An Unlikely Combination

Okay. Now I am going to need all of you to be very open minded on this one. I need you to come with me on a little journey. A journey with a very unconventional, yet very easy recipe fit for any apartmentite.

On the surface this simple combination of foods may sound disgusting, but if you suspend your natural gag-reflex reaction to it and give it a shot, you'll find an incredibly tasty snack that any fast paced apartmentite can eat on the go.

Many moons ago, a friend of mine introduced me to this snack and at first I thought he had absolutely gone off his rocker, lost his mind, gone coocoo, and needed to be committed. Then as he ate it in front of me and actually seemed to be enjoying it, I thought he was playing tricks on me.

But then...I tasted it myself. The wonderful goodness that this uncommon combination of food stuffs created made my taste buds scream for joy! You only need two items:

A can of Frito-Lay Bean dip and a package of Brown Sugar and Cinnamon Pop Tarts.

Hmmmmm. 'Where is he going with?,' you're wondering.

Here are the simple directions:

First open the bean dip as you normally would, being careful not to cut yourself on the metal rim. Next unwrap your pop tart. Follow this by actually dipping the pop tart into the bean dip. Eat, enjoy, and repeat until all the goodness is gone.

Yes...I am telling you that dipping a brown sugar and cinnamon pop tart in bean dip is an awesome snack. I know exactly what you are thinking after reading this and again I ask you to suspend your disgust and give it a try. It's sort of like trying sushi for the first time....only with a pop tart and some bean dip.

Go now! get to the store. Buy these two items...and try it! You'll thank me later.
